Hello, I’m Farrah Rose.
I am an Online Business Manager with extensive experience in business and operations management (both on-site and online), sales management, product and program launches, client service, online marketing, project management, business litigation, recruiting, client and employee onboarding, personnel management, and bookkeeping, (and more), I bring a diverse and solid skill set to help professionals launch and scale their business.
I’m not just another OBM who completed a program to become a “Certified OBM.” I’ve been doing the work, at all levels and across various industries, for decades. From private banking and investments operations at the corporate level to building websites and managing social media campaigns for solopreneurs — I’ve actually done it all. I’ve created the strategic business plans, managed the projects, launched the systems and programs, built the website, hired the team, executed the campaigns, and celebrated the successes.
I launched my business in 2012, after spending several years in private banking operations, labor and employment law defense, and teaching (amongst other things). I wanted to work more closely with clients and have the flexibility of working from home, so I took the skills and experience I had gained in my corporate life, and transferred them to my business. This work has definitely been FAR more fun and interesting than anything else I’ve done!
I was born and raised in San Diego, CA, and at the age of 28, moved to New York City and spent several very exciting years there before having my daughter and relocating to Portland, Oregon. In early 2022, my daughter and I hitched a wagon and spent the next 5 days driving halfway across the country to live in Houston, Texas (where I learned that Texas is not actually the flat, dirt, desolate space from my dad’s favorite old western movies (as I, embarrassingly, thought until recently) — but actually a beautiful, green, treed, and glorious place with amazing people, delicious food, and alligators in the bayous!).
I spend my free time exploring every place I can with my teenaged daughter, listening to great music, singing my heart out, riding my bike, and playing with our two amazing cats. I love to travel, see new places, learn and do new things, and am very curious about quantum physics and ancient history.
I’m a can-do optimist mixed with a realist. I love taking on new challenges and rarely feel daunted by any project. I’m one of those strange birds who actually love and seek out change — while holding close those comfortable and familiar constants. Life is good and I’m generally a happy, no-drama mama.
I work with small business owners (and solopreneurs) who are committed to supporting, educating, and empowering others. I believe in company transparency, consumer privacy, and demonstrated respect — and I welcome clients who hold the same values.
